American Sandsculpting Championships

Master Sand Sculptors is back on Fort Myers Beach through Nov. 27 for the 30th annual American Sandsculpting Championships behind the Wyndham Garden Hotel on the beach. Burn off some of your Thanksgiving Day dinner calories by taking a stroll on the beach to look at more than 40 sand sculpture creations on the beach. The family-friendly event also includes art displays, live music, food and drinks and activities for children. Tickets are $7 and children 4 and under are free.

Thanksgiving Sunset Dolphin Cruise

Can you be any more thankful when you are celebrating Thanksgiving Day with your loved ones on a Thanksgiving Sunset Dolphin Cruise? Adventures in Paradise is offering a 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. holiday cruise Thursday, Nov. 24. One of the best Sanibel Island holiday events is the Master Sand Sculptors American Sandsculpting Championships on Fort Myers Beach through Nov. 27.

A Christmas Carol

Get yourself in the Christmas spirit with an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol with traditional holiday folk music and filled 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. The play runs through Dec. 23 at the Strauss Theater at Big Arts Sanibel Island. Tickets range from $5 to $32 and can be purchased online.

Walk Through Bethlehem

Take a Walk Through Bethlehem 7 p.m. Nov. 30 as Sanibel Community Church members portray the night of Jesus’ birth in the Historic Chapel. Guests will meet people from the time period and come upon the manger where the Messiah was born. The event is free and will also be performed again 7 p.m. Dec. 2.

Sanibel Luminary Stroll

The 32nd annual Sanibel Luminary Stroll occurs 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3. The free community-wide event showcases decorated and illuminated storefront and offers a live nativity scene, activities for the whole family and a visit with Santa Claus.
