ATTENTION Anglers:  Join us for the 2nd Annual Offshore Rodeo Fishing Tournament, Kids Fishing Tournament & Reggae Party June 6-7, 2014 at Port Sanibel Marina and the Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant. All tournament proceeds go directly toward the Ronald McDonald House Charities of SW Florida.

How To Register

Offshore Rodeo Fishing Tournament registration is limited to 25 registered boats/teams for $250 per angler, which includes a guest ticket to dinner festivities. There are only 12 boats/teams Still AVAILABLE! The Kids Fishing Tournament is only $20 per child. To sign up, CLICK HERE to register online or mail in the printable sign-up brochure.

The Schedule

Friday, June 6th, 2014

  • 6:30 p.m. Check-In
  • 7:30 p.m. Captains’ Meeting

Saturday, June 7th, 2014

  • 6:00 a.m. Tournament Starts
  • 10 a.m. – 1.p.m. Kids Fishing Tournament (12 & under) & Lunch with Ronald McDonald for the first 50 kids to register
  • 4:00 p.m. Early Weigh-in
  • 6:00 p.m. Weigh in Closes
  • 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. Silent and Live Auction
  • 8:00 p.m. Fresh Rodeo, Fish Dinner, Food, Drinks & Live Music

The Catch

This is the only tournament of its kind! Anglers have the chance to win big money prizes from catching any of the following 10 different species of fish:

  • African Pompano
  • Cobia
  • Dolphin
  • Grouper
  • Hogfish
  • Kingfish
  • Snapper
  • Triple Tail
  • Tuna
  • Wahoo.

***Catch terms EXCLUDE: Gag, Goliath and Warsaw.  Limited to 25 registered boats/teams.

The Rules

Various rules apply, including:

  • All participating boats must check-in prior to fishing with the check-in boat; (TO BE ANNOUNCED) that will be located off Sanibel Island Fishing Pier. Once checked in, you may leave to fish.
  • Tournament will start at 6:00AM. Any boats not checked in or that have not contacted the committee boat by 8:00AM will forfeit entry fee and eligibility for all tournament events.
  • Boats are to return to the Lighthouse Restaurant for weigh-in. Weigh-in is from 4:00PM – 6:00PM. Boats must be in sight of Port Sanibel Marina by 6:00PM.
  • Tournament fish for weigh-in must be legal length or it will be disqualified.
  • All fish must be caught on rod and reel, no electric or hydraulic reels, no spear fishing or explosives.
  • Maximum of 4 fish per boat are eligible for weigh-in, all fish will be weighed individually. Only 2 of any species will count towards the tournament.
  • All Florida fishing regulations apply.

Pro Division Cash Prizes

  • 1st Place: $6,000
  • 2nd Place: $3,000
  • 3rd Place: $1,500

Amateur Division Cash Prizes

  • 1st Place: $4,000
  • 2nd Place: $2,000
  • 3rd Place: $1,000
